There are five proven rejuvenating agents:

1. Alpha Hydroxy Acids (Fruit Acids)

This group of products penetrates the top layer of the skin to help for new collagen and make the skin more elastic. To facilitate the best penetration of the skin, an acidity (pH) of 3-4 needs to be reached.  By using the Crème Classique® Soap Free Cleanser, the acidity is dropped to the desired level and the top layer of the skin becomes more penetrable.

A higher concentration, more than 6%, of the alpha hydroxy acids is needed to get the desired rejuvenating effect.  A tingling feeling is an indication that the right nerve endings have been reached.

Glycolic acid (with its very small molecule) has been clinically proven to have the best penetration of all the alpha hydroxy acids.

Alpha hydroxy acids may irritate, burn or make sensitive skin peel in scales.  If irritation occurs, stop for a few days, apply a moisturizing cream and reapply once a day on alternate days.

2. Beta Hydroxy Acids

Beta hydroxy acids used by itself or in conjunction with alpha hydroxy acids stimulates exfoliation, improves the appearance of the skin and strengthens the collagen.

3. ASC III and Allantoin

Crème Classique® Rejuvenating and Scar Serum contains both ASC III and Allantoin. ASC III promotes the growth of youthful collagen, resulting in more elastic and youthful skin.  Allantoin is a natural chemical compound which soothes irritated skin, reduces redness and speeds up healing by stimulating new skin cell growth.

The serum can be used by persons with sensitive skin. It works well on wrinkles around the eyes and mouth, rejuvenates the skin and shrinks scars.  This serum may also be used post-surgically on wounds to promote healing.

4. Retinoic Acids

Retinoin, also known as all-trans Retinoic Acid, is the acid form of vitamin A. As a prescription drug commonly used to treat acne and aging skin.

Crème Classique® products do not contain Retinoic Acids as the negative side effects include hypersensitivity to sunlight, burning and irritation and skin peeling in scales.
